Bioslim- "Accelerator, SlimTone Formula & Vita/Min Plus"

Wasserman, Comden & Casselman LLP is currently investigating claims involving the health risks and unauthorized billing of the products listed above. Bioslim purports to be "the most powerful, most healthful weight loss system ever created." Bioslim is sold with claims that it "works with your body naturally to lose weight quickly, safely and permanently." The 2-step program for adults starts with the initial use of bottled pills known as the "Accelerator." After which, the customer switches to "SlimTone Formula" pills combined with the use of "Vita/Min Plus" pills. The "SlimTone Formula" is an herbal product that contains aristolochic acid. In 2001, the FDA issued a warning to consumers to immediately discontinue use of any botanical products containing aristolochic acid which has been associated with permanent kidney damage, sometimes resulting in kidney failure that has required kidney dialysis or kidney transplantation. In addition, consumption of products containing aristolochic acid have lead to the development of certain types of cancers, most often occurring in the urinary tract.
